Ugh I hate how some people are still “Wow I hate Claire Danes’ acting but I love Homeland, she’s only good in this.” Like ooookayyyy Carrie Mathison is probably the most layered and complicated female character we’ve had in ages, it takes a solidly good actress to pull off what Claire is doing with Carrie. Maybe if you like Claire as Carrie, you can just acknowledge that Claire Danes is actually a good actress and she’s not just pulling a one off good performance out of her butt for this one role? (I mean, I would understand it more if Homeland is a movie but Claire Danes is putting out a great performance every episode so, she’s pretty much solid) And FYI, she was also quite great in Temple Grandin.

Anyway, my problem with this is how so many actors get acknowledged as “GREAT!!! ACTORS” because of one good performance but so many actresses seem to need LOTS of great performances, one after the other, never give a bad performance ever, to be acknowledged as good actresses.
